From microstructure to multinational
1955: founding of Becromal by E. Ch. Rosenthal. The first electrochemical etchings are made.
1966: building of the Rozzano production site and headquarters.
1969: Becromal produces the first high voltage foils with the know-how support of Siemens.
1986: E. Ch. Rosenthal dies. His son, Harry Pierre, becomes President of Becromal.
1988: establishment of Becromal of America in, Clinton/Tennessee.
1992: Becromal starts to produce the new foil types, A991 and later A992, A993 and A994. With these new products, Becromal consolidates its leading position in the field of high voltage foils.
1993: First Certification at ISO 9002 specifications.
1995: establishment of Becromal Norway becomes the new reality in the world of foil production.
2001 - 2002: important investments in high voltage foil production:
-
Milano: 6 new etching machines for the newly developed MV and HV foils.
-
USA: updating of existing forming machines, increase of forming capability by 60 %.
-
Norway: new building enables the doubling of the forming capability.
2006: implementation of the new High Voltage Etching technology (pilot plant in Milano).
